Antique-Lo…
(1 item)
I have 12 of these iron padlocks with keys that I believe belonged to my grandparents who travelled extensively between Burma, England, Indonesia, and the United States between 1900 and 1926. They say Secure 2 Lever on the front with a registered trademark picture that looks like two dinosaurs (or dragons) holding hands with, and walking with a child. I have not been able to identify the trademark. They all measure 3 1/4" long by 2 1/8" wide. If they did not belong to my maternal grandparents, my paternal grandfather and 4 of his sons worked on the railroad in the early 1900's, so could be railroad locks? I am curious as to the age, and if the locks are American made or possibly British, because my maternal grandfather was born in Scotland in 1875 and was a mining engineer in Indonesia, South America, and Burma, and my mother was born in England in 1921. I would appreciate any help with identification and age.
I would appreciate any help identifying the age and origin of the locks.
