~ Hi CW Gang ~
( UPDATE BELOW and ID AS TO WHAT IT IS )
I also got this in that haul, but you just can not see it in the pile....LOL.
I see no marks on this, and wondering IF it might be Gold. It is just a piece off something, but still very pretty. The stone looks like a citrine quartz ? maybe ?. The neat thing about it - is that the gem stone is engraved with the word * ROSA * on it. PLEASE EXCUSE THE dust and Dust bunnies on this piece -- as I did not clean it at all. Guess I better....LOL. I was thinking maybe this is a piece of some prayer beads or something...but ut could be even a charm for all know.
Anyhow it is interesting little piece!! I have never see a gemstone engraved. So just different. I guess I will put this in Fine Jewelry but it might not be Gold.....but then the stone must be a quality piece in order to be engraved.....LOL
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

==================
*** UPDATE *** - Id given by TASSIEDEVIL ( aka Judy ) as a wax seal fob from a pocket watch. Also Kyratango provided a Super link for info. Thanks so ever MUCH !!!!!
===================
I see what might be a tiny mark on it - second photo from the left, on the part shaped like a pear, between the leaves.
Or is is just a dent......
Hey Rose, it is beautiful!!
It is a wax seal fob which would have been attached to a pocket watch chain......I would look very closely for a gold mark as well!!!!
Absolutely lovely find, Rose!
Judy, you got it ;-))
Victorian, it can be gold, gold filled, pinchbeck... Citrine or crystal or glass (but it is very sparkling!)
Have a look there, around middle of page:

@kyratango - Also Wow to you to!! That is a SUPER link that you posted. There are some that are very close to this. Wow, I love that link. Gonna look at it some more too !!! Kinda Pricey some of those Seals...
@TassieDevil - Oh Wow!! You hit it right on the head as to what it is!! I will look again and see if I can find anything. I need a Loupe, as I just have a little sewing magnifying glass.....LOL. When you say Wax seal.......they did use it for letters, or not? Not sure if we are thinking the same thing....?? LOL
@Efesgirl - Thanks for the comment, I will look again to see if I can see anything...plus give it a bit of a cleaning. Just some soap and water...LOL
Been digging around on this item just for more info ....here what I received from one lady
""It is very lovely! I would say foiled Citrine or Topaz, looks Gold but as I said almost impossible to say over pictures. Dates to the Georgian era, circa. 1830. Likely used to seal a letter or worn on a watch chain. I hope this helps! Many Thanks, Danielle"""
""Glad I could help. Like I said, hard to tell gold and stones without testing but hopefully gives you a better idea. The value would also be determined by Gold carat and weight but it is a very nice quality piece. It is likely to be English as the style is very typical of Georgian English fobs. I hope this helps. Thanks, Danielle""
