Ahhhh! A sweet baby, holds a plush doll from around the Turn of Century,
The card back show it is an AZO card, and pretty worn and stained but all I care about is that darling image on the front. Can someone with good eyesight, enlarge that and te;;ll me what is written sideways up the left, and the place. I can almost read that but nor quite. Thanks! Lois

Hey Manikin- What can you tells us about this doll. Is she a known doll of yesterday? Enlarge the photo and see if you know that doll in plush. Why do I know it is red?? Red Riding Hood? Thanks

My dear ORoyORoy I don't know how old you think I am<smiling> These Bear Dolls are quite collectible today . The date are 1900-20 . Several German Company heads were used and they would have been marked since to fur head piece would usually slide off like a hood you could see what company made head but body may have been done by another company . Great Photo PCC !

OH MY GOOD GOD! The prices at the Ruby Lane link above are JOLTING (Thanks Manikin!!) Make me wish I had the doll, and not just the photo--but darn, that is such a cute photo. I am so glad I have it where it will be appreciated and handed down to the other vintage photo collector I live with,( Tyler, my grandson 21-(-with a very nice vintage photo collection, but more manly oriented as to subjects) No , I mean cars, sports, military, etc--not pin-ups!)
I know so many collectors are without family interest with collecting things precious to collectors--and that is sad, my daughter Linda wants the Valentine Collection. But that's about all the family interest here.

THANKS ALL FOR GREAT COMMENTS--I thought she was in a snow suit like a "snow-baby doll "of early 1900s

I had a doll-animal when I was real small, a gift from" Izzy the 2nd Hand Man", who brought me wonderful things-(Friend of the family) and the vintage doll he brought had a face of painted celluloid, red plush suit and a pointed attached hood. She looked (the face) like a "googly"eye--the body looked just like in my photo. All my life I wanted her back! No luck
      .
Oh! Gosh!! did HE (IZZY) begin for me the life long quest for collectibles??? What I said here makes me realize for the first time-- he is probably the reason for collapsing shelves here!!
God Bless Ya Izzy!" Mazel Toff"!! What a fun life. Thanks!

No one sees Gary Cooper in the eyes? I think it's him holding a Spirit bear ;D
    13. PostCardCollector PostCardCollector, 8 years ago
YES---I can see Cooper! Sorry for delays--- I can''t get on the computer much because the 17 yr.old grandson is not in school, (summer vacation) so he is on the computer like 10 hours a day!!( Addicted to the games with his friends all over the USA.) I keep telling him his brain will be fried, and as a Senior now he hopes for a scholarship.
BUT He is like unconscious when I talk to him!!

The baby has unusual eyes--very honest and forthright like Cooper.
Showing some "character" at a really young age. Too bad I will never know if she is "Coops" sister!! Ha Ha.

Is Spirit Bear a real Native American?

The" computer kid" mentioned above is part Apache, He is very "stoic" and likes music of the tribes-- his great grandmother !00% Apache born on the reservation. Northern AZ. She became well known in the woman's rights movement here!

I feel bad that I can't get on the 'puter as much as I like. It is HIS computer--not mine. UGGH!
