Old Harry Klitzner piece - Tie Tac? Pin for Grandma? I think it was Granddad's

I'm actually fairly sure, but await the counsel of my wise new friends on this forum, that this is one of the oldest items found in my grandma's/ grandfather's items.

Since I could read the signed name on the back, I was able to look up a bit on the history of the maker - Harry Klitzner in Providence, RI. I know he apprenticed with a jewelry maker and then started making his own pieces in his Mother's candy store. I know he did pieces for groups like Masons, Order of the Moose?, etc.

I think Granddad 'dabbled' with the Masons. This piece is so VERY VERY tiny. I do not think this belonged to my Grandmother.

I almost discarded it thinking it was just the 'back' of something. I felt some ridges and had to put my cell phone on very high magnification. I was stunned when I saw it is a little...um..creature. And it has colors!!

I feel this is definitely EARLY 1900's, but await input from those much more familiar. I read before he formed a company he was making pieces as early as 1904? 1907? (did he do any earlier). I also know there is every chance this wasn't one he did that early...but it makes for a fun mystery.
