I love this vase. The vivid blue looks so out of place with the others of this family and challenges my pre/ill conceived conceptions on dating their period. Image three shows it with an Art Deco rose bowl in the same décor.
I also love it because I'd previously come across something similar only to be outbid! There's a link posted below.

As I mentioned earlier I had intended to post three tri-lobed heart vases, but poor packaging intervened. I am however posting the remains of the third one as it's the first I've seen in this décor. The vase you see beside the remains is in the same décor. It's the only example I have of this décor, so my hopes of finding another tri-lobed heart in this décor are not high. It would have been my sixteenth décor in tri-lobed hearts.
Height REDUCED!

Thank you so much, Ken, much appreciated :)
I feel for you, Peggy, seeing the explosion you have there. We have a glass studio here in Brighton which does fused glass classes and I've often thought I would collect my bits and make a plate or tray.
Thanks, Ian. Another idea might be to make tiles for a small outdoor table.....wouldn't rot, rust or need painting!
Love the blue welz decor!
Sorry about the damage-- best of luck with the search for another example.

Hi scott, me too on the décor, and thanks for the good wishes!
the cobalt blue just gorgeous & very sorry about your loss !!!!!!!!!!!! Peggy
Pleased you like it MALKEY. As to the breakage.....not the first won't be the last :)
Peggy, I am so sorry about your broken heart vase; it has happened to all of us, and always feels terrible. :( But I have to say that your brilliant blue vase is really, really lovely! I love its vibrancy!
Thanks Michelle, on both counts. The blue one really stands out against the others!
Hi Peggy, that really is an explosion of glass. How disappointing, especially on something you know is rare to find. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. The blues are lovely, I particularly like the tall one, I've seen a pink version before but not blue.
Pic 3... luv it! It's a shame many eBay sellers do such a poor job of packing Peggy. When your piece arrives, it takes you from the such a high to utter disappointment... I know how it feels, and I'm so sorry.
Thank you you Fran and Rick for your consoling words......it's always disappointing but not all that frequent!
Your 'Loves' are much appreciated :)
In your recently declared search for Welz clear or coloured translucent glass, I wonder if you have seen this shape (seemingly) in clear green glass with pink accents. Search "Antique Victorian green glass bud vase" and you'll find it.
Thank you, Wow22. Yes it is the same shape, but fortunately (for my financial well being) I have that décor in a different shape......
