Looking for information on this chair.

Bought through local yardsale because I thought would be nice as a photography prop. Was listed as a child's antique rocker, but an adult can easily sit in it--however the back is low and top falls at my neck and seat is low to the ground. Originally wood and has been painted an antiqued cream style. Wood appears old and am not sure what type. Sits about 33" from floor to top of back, 23" across at widest point of bottom rockers, and seat is 18" back to front, and about 19.5" side to side. Handles are about 9" above seat. Any information or dating is appreciated! Beautiful piece regardless, but my curiosity as to if it's an older piece is digging at me. Thank you for looking & for any help you may be able to give me!
