I was really excited to find this red crinkle glass. It was part of a collectors collection. The collector had passed away so I couldn't talk to them and the person I bought them from didn't know about them. There was one stack of brown bowls that I didn't buy because of the colour but they had a Morgantown sticker on them.

My question is...is this Morgantown Crinkle Glass or Seneca Driftwood? How can you tell the difference between the two manufacturers?

The tumblers are 5 1/2", 5" and 4 1/8" high. Finger Bowls are 5" wide.

Actually, this was solved by another ID group...they are Morgantown Crinkle as they have an irregular rim. Seneca Driftwood have round rims. :)

check the measurements at Replacements.com as they have heights for each pattern. I'm not personally familiar with either but from images and the Seneca patent drawing, I think these look more like Crinkle. Seems to me the Driftwood has more squiggles as shown on the patent drawing and Crinkle has flatter surfaces like broken ice. But then you might have a combination...

TallCakes! Thanks so much! That is a very cool drawing! It confirms what the facebook ID group said i.e. the Seneca lips are round. The pieces I have all have irregular rims (not round). So this collector knew what they were doing. I'll definitely look on Replacements.com - I am hoping to find a source for the pattern numbers as well. Thanks!
