Found in the ground in Boulder, Colorado - former farmland. They appear to be cast iron. The picture that shows 2 shows the back. They are identical parts.

Hi there, and welcome to CW. If you will humour me for a moment - I just have to say, I'm so very happy you didn't say that these items were Indian artifacts, or perhaps pre-Columbian fertility Gods.
Thank you for letting me say that. There are some very good people here who are quite knowledgeable about old pieces of machinery and the like - I hope someone comes by soon to help.
Look a lot like pitons for rock climbing, but question my guess. My other guess is pre-Columbian fertility Gods . Welcome to CyberAsylum, aka CW.
Maybe spikes for a seeding machine or some other farming equipment? Just an idea...
sickle mower rock guards
Mnsco, how about a better description. This mounts on a machine ?
If the bottom sides are flat, they are probably an earlier version of this: https://www.madisontractor.com/144176-forged-guard-single-prong.html
for a horse drawn sickle mower.
could be sickle bar teeth

TC, I think you got it. I never heard of a sickle mower, so looked it up. Seen them but never knew the name. Farming left the family with great, great G.F..
