I recently inherited over 2000 pieces of silver and silverplate items which consists mostly of U.S.N flatware and serveware. If anyone out there has an idea of how I might start to learn more about it, please let me know. Along with the many Navy pieces there were some personal items (as picture). This creamer and sugar caught my eye. If I could discover the pattern name would search for more pieces. I am in need of persons who know about silver/silverplate. Any help appreciated.

I would organize items dividing silver from silver plating.
      Generally speaking:
British silver has distinctive set of marks.
      American silver is marked ‚‚sterling‚‚
The rest is electroplated (most often EPNS mark but also pictorial or monogram marks).
Continental Europe has different marking standards.
By selecting items this way identification will be narrowed. Looking forward to new posts (always with the marks, please).
