This is a "Photographic History, The War for the Union" series stereoview that depicts the burial of dead at Fredericksburgh, Va.
The stereoview is on a yellow mount with the full Anthony label on the reverse.
Images show African American grave diggers with bodies prepped for burial to their front. In the back ground, wood "headstones" can be seen where many other soldiers have been buried.
This scene was a common after battle scene throughout the war.

Oh wow, it is a good thing that they documented this. Great photos, sad but very important I would say!
Thanks shareurpassion. Sad and regular happening in the War and soon after.
