LOVE this piece. The sales pitch: Summer of 1969 my older sister and I hitch- hiked from So. California to Woodstock music festival with some other people. Little did we know that we would be a part of music culture history. Lucky us our second ride took us all the rest of the way. We arrived the morning before the music started in a school bus converted into a hippie motor home and watched as the crafters set up their booths across both sides of the huge stage. This purse was actually bartered in exchange for one of the waterproof ponchos that someone on the bus had brought. You will never see another like it because I watched it hand stitched together and picked out the butterfly stamp on the front while Canned Heat was on stage. Genuine hide leather is xlnt condition for its age and is still supple and not dried out, no cracks. It was treasured all thru high school and kept conditioned with old school Lexol . And then used a few times since. All braided leather and leather stitching is in great condition as well. Measures 12" across and 10" tall and the strap is 16" drop. I've seen some others listed on ebay but there are lots of Mexico made imposters.. This is the real deal If you want a little piece of Rock N Roll history." Her signed provenance is also shown above.
Another score for you! I remember these all day long, but this one was made in Woodstock, that's def history!
Thanks. It is indeed the history that makes it. Appreciate your comment.
