I've had this old gilded Milk Glass lamp that dates from the 1870's for at least 30 years. I always had in mind that if I found a reasonably priced glass shade for it, I would buy it. This past weekend at an annual Trash & Treasure sale, I found this wonderful cranberry shade that was perfect for this lamp. The flower-etched shade has a rich deep cranberry colour near the crimped top which shades to a lighter pink near the 4" fitter end. It has etchings of flowers all-over which fits well with the gilded flowers on the lamp's font. The lamp is probably from a Pittsburgh or N. East lamp manufacturer but exactly who, I'm not sure.
