    this beautiful japanese looking hand painted vase is stunning it features mountain ranges rivers birds boats and trees it is made of porcelain but unfortunately has no marks except what looks like a 17 but it could be japanese writing as the top of the 7 slopes upwards sorry i cant get a decent photo as the base is all black and the mark dosnt show up any infiormation would be great thank you Rob

      i am unsure it looks alot like its laquor but am unfamiliar with laquerware i will google to see if it is thank you for your input racer

      hi racer in still unsure it says laquerware is usually applied to wood plastic and metal were as my vase is porcelain il do some more research and see what i can come up with thank you its given me another avenue to go down

      Ok, so it's porcelain. Looks like lacquer ware! Nicely hand painted, and definitely Japanese.

      yes id say eggshell porcelain its white on the insidw but you can see drips of black were the paint has run and it quite lite for the size about21 cm tall havnt been able to see anything that resembles it on google and have searched for a few hours the base mark has got me stumped also it looks like number 17 but the top or the 7 is angledupwards abit im thinking it is some japanese word or makers mark

      hi racer 4 four im notsure if you will see this but i have found a very similar lamp on e bay and you were correct with your assumtionof lustreware a rarer type as it over porcelain so its case sort of closed thanks for your input
