Although not definitive, all circumstantial evidence points to this Navy mess-style coffee mug belonging to Evelyn Lincoln, personal secretary to President John F. Kennedy.

Featuring a full rendering of the White House Service Badge created in 1960 by President Eisenhower and awarded to military personnel stationed at the White House until it was retired in favor of separate presidential and vice presidential service badges beginning in 1964.

The name 'Evelyn' is an added feature along with the decorative stylistic words "The White House" and "The Office of the President" on the reverse indicating a direct connection to Evelyn Lincoln as records do not show any other staff member in the Office of the President named Evelyn during this time.
