    1950s NJ State Route sign. The second generation of the NJ state routes is larger than the first gen by 2 inches. 1st gen - 16", 2nd gen - 18". This change was made due to the need to identify signage from farther away at higher speeds.

    Sign is 18" round and cast aluminum.
