I ran across this in Cleveland in a recently closed woodworking shop still in the box with sawdust on it . It is a little over 6" tall including the base that the .50 cal shell case is mounted on. I only wish I knew the more about the WWII Veterans that made these. I care about this because this tells the story of what many of our Veterans did after they returned home from fighting for our freedom.
Nice trench art. The sheet on who made it is interesting-- I am a trench art collector and hadn't heard the story of disabled vets making some of these.
Can you add a photo of the box itself?

Shaw-Barton may have only put the bases on these ?
Agree. Note references-- "...manufactured by an organization of disabled veterans...".
I believe they were a give away (advertising) item for the Cleveland Flux Company.
