I adopted both of these babies out of a "free" bin at a yard sale this weekend. Both came in their boxes with what I assume are their certificates. The back of the boxes say they were made in Italy in 1983? Anybody know anything about these two? Collectors? Or let my 7 year old smother i mean mother them?
Manikin knows all about dolls I am sure she will be in contact soon Your dolls are so sweet?!
Thank you, PostCardCollector! I hope she has some more info. My Italian is rusty and I can't read the box. Maybe she'll look at the other doll I posted too. Fingers crossed!
Furga are high quality dolls made in Italy. They have some value as a collectible but not a lot . They are Anatomically Correct so not sure what age child it would be appropriate to give too . Strangely these are most often bought by older women with no children . It is your decision whether to give them to a 7 year old or sell them for a little profit and buy her a different doll .
Thank you, Manikin!! I honestly had no idea if they were collectable or not. I normally don't gravitate towards vinyl dolls, but these babies had their original boxes and were 2 hours away from going in the trash. I'll keep them put up for now and decide later what to do with them. I appreciate your expertise. I knew you'd know what they were. ????
Your welcome and that sounds like a good idea keep them till you can decide in a safe place . For reason these dolls became popular some years back and women still enjoy them vs kids :-)
