These two Victorian vases must be by the same maker. Both are cylindrical in form, feature a hobnail type pattern, & have similar applied decoration. The yellow - green striped vase is made from cased glass, & has a pale pink applied footed leaf base, & leaves that rise up the sides of the vase. It contains uranium in the green layer, & glows brightly under UV light. Measurements are 17.5 cm tall, 3.2 cm across the cut top rim, & 8.5 cm across the footed base.
The green vase also contains uranium, & has a pale pink applied rigaree, & leaf feet. It measures 18 cm tall, 3.2 cm across the cut top rim, & 7 cm across the footed base.
Bohemian origin. Fairly certain these are by Welz.
Ooh. Both GORGEOUS, but love the stripy yellow one!
