Here's one that formerly did its duty at one of my local State Dept. of Finance/Administration (read: DMV) offices, where it would have been paired with a little ticket-tab dispenser -- unwitting victims pull a number tab from the dispenser then wait (and wait and wait...) until its their turn, when somebody behind the counter finally flips one of the tags on this sign over to their matching number. <GROAN> There are a hundred (+/-, several have been repaired with scotch tape and one or two could be missing, I didn't count 'em) plastic tags hanging on a curved metal hoop, affixed to a black finished particleboard backboard with a dark pink band around its edge, measuring about 15" wide overall. I have absolutely no idea why the standard chosen accent color is/was pink...but to my memory every single one of these in all our DFA offices were exactly the same color scheme.
These were replaced with new electric 'LED digital' display units in all our DFA offices some years ago -- I found this one (with others) some time after that at the local State "surplus property" warehouse sale. Having spent my own share of time waiting for one of the dumb things -- how could I NOT take one home with me?? <LOL>
Thanks very much to racer4four, buckethead, and pw-collector for the loves! :-)
