About two years ago wife and I bought a barbed wire collection at auction. When we bought it, it was very amateurishly mounted to 1/4" Luan. We decided to give the collection to my father in law for Father's day last year. We thought the collection would fit well in his cabin out in the sticks. This is what he did to display the collection! I think he did a kick ass job!
Not real sure about barbed wire for Fathers Day, but he did a beautiful job on the shadow boxes. Just joking about the present. "It's the thought that counts". Have you valued the wire collection. Rare ones can be serious money.
He did quite well with it. My Grandmother gave me a bunch of barbed wire as a joke and I loved it. She thought it was junk.
fortapache, gotta love Grandma!! My wife's G ma at 96 same way. "It's all junk" are her words and she calls us hoarders. We might be hoarders, but our stuff is worth $$ Not empty pizza boxes and cat poop!
