Paul Kedelv worked for Flygsfors in Sweden from 1949 to 1956.
This plate was made during this period and has a date for 1955.
I have had this plate for a couple of years. It’s 32 centimetres = 12.6 inches across. It is signed Kedelv on one side of the ground pontil and on the other is Flygsfors 55. It is the largest Kedelv plate/charger that I’ve come across.
The tooling marks can be felt over the front of the plate. It’s got a nice lip that I’ve tried to show in the second photo. I wasn’t able to get a good photo of the Kedelv signature. There is no mention of Coquille. But I suppose it will fall into that group.
Thanks BELLIN68, Mark & ozmarty.
A very belated thanks to BeauxPurdy!
Yes, I think this plate is done in Coquille technique. The bottom seems to be cut of an have no (what we in Sweden call "puntelmärke") pontil mark. A mark after the spike wich is used when you use blowing technique in the first moment and in the end use (what we call drivteknik) without blowing.
Thanks rebessin for your comments and to you too austro!
