I would love and appreciate any information anyone could give me about my plate.

Even the slightest clue or idea some one could give me about this beautiful plate would be so very gratefully received.

It's a bit of a puzzling mark? Does it mean it's made in Britain for overseas import? Or in Italy? I do know during the Second World War British manufactures were only allowed to make decorative plates for the export market. Maybe it relates to that!

I believe it says "Made for British Overseas Import". A very interesting plate indeed. The two in the middle remind me of maybe aboriginal? Australian? There are palm trees depicted on the plate, so somewhere hot probably. And that's about all I can say.

Oh, and the 3436 could be style #, designer, the artist, the kind of material it's made of, the designer -many different things.
