This is unique and highly sought after oval (39" x 31") Sweet-Orr (Union Made - Clothes to Work In) porcelain sign from the 1920's - 1930's (approx) is an extremely rare find. This particular Sweet-Orr is yellow with navy blue text and border and features six detailed men attempting to tear a pair of Sweet-Orr overalls in half in the center of the sign.

The sign is in great shape for it's age with some minor chipping as noted in the picture. Seven of the twelve original grommets for hanging are present. There has been no touch-up performed and this sign is in its' complete and original condition.

With all of my research and past transactions with Sweet-Orr signs, I have found both rectangular and round ones similar to this one but have yet to be able to identify an oval one of this size.

I have the same one, it’s double sided but not in near as good a shape as yours. I found mine buried in the woods in Wappingers Falls, NY. That is where the first Sweet-Orr factory was located.
