This is a beautiful 1950s/60s 8-foot steel measuring tape from the Master Rule Mfg Co of New York.
It's still fully functional, weighty in the hand, but still small enough to sit comfortably in one's palm or be placed in one's pocket, purse, or tool box.
Love the art deco style of the casing and chroming!
