I don't know if this has a purpose or if it's just decoration. The dealer said, "It's no silver". Uh-huh. The tests for silver told me it is silver. The mark om the touch stone turned beet red, as did the metal when I put acid directly on it. It's not very large - only about 3/4 of an inch high. Put it in Multi-Category since I don't know what it is.
I think that mark is a Squirrel. I know Switzerland uses the Squirrel on their gold items. Haven't yet found anything in regard to silver. Maybe one of you knows....

    Thanks for stopping by!

Interesting that's for sure... kind of looks like a skunk...a foo dog...a lion??? so many options. I want to know if your picture now is a Barbie??? That's one I've never seen. Love her though.

Hiya shareurpassion - no, not a Barbie doll. That is a signed chalkware sculpture, made in the 1980s. She's just a bit shy of 14 inches high. I saw her in a local resale shop and HAD to have her for the measly price of 7 bucks! I have her posted on my page.

Looks like a game piece. Or maybe for on a battle map diorama thingy . And I'm not being picky but I think the ship is a Bark or a Brig. Might help in searching.

On the site of Kikizilver there are several miniatures with a base plate like this.
They call it "sigaretten dover" (Excuses for the Dutch words, I don't know how
      to translate it).
