The small diameter and curve of the handle makes the silver mark unreadable to my eye on this lovely little (7.25" long) tea strainer and I'm hoping someone can help me ID it.
Note the wonderful etching that alternates on the bottom flutes - very delicate and intricate! The handle shaft displays bamboo segments while the tip seems to show bamboo leaves. The intricate engraving on the bottom of the bowl shows a different style of leaf - more like calla lily leaves.
As to the marks ... I got nuttin' . Due to the narrow, curved surface of the shaft they just aren't distinct enough for me to even be able to tell how they are oriented, much less their meanings. I took the best shot my camera would allow.
It's a pretty piece - and deserves to be called by its proper name. Can anyone help?
