Just picked this up today! My first fish! lol it's 9 1/4 " long and 8 1/4 " tall and 5 3/4" wide. Weighs just about 10 lbs. I'm not sure about the details but I don't think it's vintage. It seems to be a more modern piece but any comments are welcome!

I do not think this Murano in my Opinion by the way it is made, and also the bottom is not that of Murano glass either that I have ever seen. See what others say too.

Thanks antiquerose. The more research I do the more I'm starting to think you're correct but I still can't find anything about that pontil mark! lol its definitely hand blown, and the craftsmanship is great!thanks!

I like this one. Fish has the look of Murano. The base is the part that doesn't look Murano. Is the mark on the bottom of the base a Pontil, or is it an impressed shell mark? If it is a shell, then it won't be Murano, but would be the key to finding it's maker.

It's actually the Pontil itself yes. And it's indented quite a bit too but I've tried looking up pontils for studios and found nothing yet. Thanks again Deani! You're the man!

In the swim BigE! Another great fish. I think again it's a studio piece. It doesn't look Murano or modern Asian to me. Great find.
