Antique regulator clock

Hi, I just bought this clock at my local flea market for only $15 it does seem to work and chimes the correct hour on the hour and one chime on the half hour until it hits 8:30 then it counts 10:00 on the half hour then on the hour it chimes only once and again at 9:30 accounts 11 and so on until it hits 8:30 again then it counts once on the half and so on does anyone know why ? And or how I can fix ? It's such a nice clock and it would be Awesome if I got the chime counting correctly also there's no makers name so I don't know who made this Clock. I'm also not so fond of the white paint so ( not original ) I may paint gloss black or strip to the original wood finish. Also this Clock is missing its top crown peas and one wood side piece and the bottom finials.Any information on this Clock would be gladly appreciated thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed .
