First let me say I do not care how much this is worth I am only looking for information as to exactly what this is and from what country.Well, as much as I like to brag about my research skills this little guy has me stumped. It is about 14 inches long and 12 or so high and weighs in at a whopping 15+ pounds.
I have had him about a year now and I have not found even a picture that remotely comes close to this guy. The plate that is welded on underneath it's tummy is and I am only assuming this is in Chinese which I have not been able to get anyone who is capable of reading it.
I picked him up in a local thrift store for $15 .
Any help would be cheerfully appreciated.
He's very stoic! Sounds like bronze, being so heavy. The info that I have for you is to remove that white substance on his tail. It appears to be left over residue from a liquid cleaner and could ruin your whole piece. A soft toothbrush and a toothpick should do the job. The toothpick has never damaged anything of mine, not even a scratch but do it in an inconspicuous spot first just to be safe. As far as the green goes, it almost looks intentional to me. That's just my opinion and I'm sure there will be someone more knowing than myself that will come along soon! Welcome to CW!
