I thought I would post this to inform CW members that one of our members, Anne Landers, has recently lost her long battle with breast cancer.
Anne collected ceramics and costume jewellery, amongst other things, but her main love was Czech glass. She had a large and colourful collection of tango glass, and I know her collection brightened her days when things got tough.
I never met Anne personally but we were in close contact outside of CW, as were some other members here. She came across as a person of strong opinion, and was always ready to challenge our ideas. She did however offer great support when it was needed, and was kind, honest, and generous. She battled very hard against her illness, and trialed many new treatments to help advance medical research.
My thoughts go out to her friends here, and her family and friends in Victoria.
I will link to her collection is comments.

So sad Karen......cancer is such a cruel disease........
What a passionate collector - her images were wonderful. She did buy a vase from me once as well, so that is my small connection. So sorry to hear of her passing.
I'm sorry to hear it. My condolences.

A loss for our community! RIP Anne.
Oh wow Karen, I am so sad to hear this! Yes, thank you for sharing that and I am sorry for your loss as well as her family and other friends. You are right, she knew what she knew and let you know it too! Very sad. Condolences to all.
Karen... How sad... I recently thought about her not pisting anymore and feared she didn't make it with the new treatments...
I recognised her tango collection on your pic... Thank you for letting us know, sincere condolences to her family and friends.
RIP Anne, very sad news Karen, thanks for letting the people on CW know. Condolences to her family.
I'm so sorry to hear about Anne. She put up a brave fight against this terrible disease. Cancer claimed my brother-in-law after his 2 year struggle against colon cancer. We laid him to rest today. Maybe someday we won't have to deal with this horrible disease. It takes people who are dear to us far before their time. Rest in peace both of my dear friends. -Mike-
