Here's an early Model 12 Aladdin (font is Model 11, burner is Model 12, which was their earliest production for Model 12). C. late 1920s. Thrift-store find. $5.
At some point in time, the lamp took a tumble, crushing the burner inward. You can see the damage in the last pic, on the right side where the brass is lighter. The pic is after I spent a while with a knife and hammer putting it back into shape. Someone had thrown a Queen Anne burner atop the Aladdin burner, but I'm not sure how that was at all functional?
Pic 1 is as clean as it can get. It's pretty rusty. Pic 2 is as found.
Likely a poor man's lamp, hence it's continued use.
They are NEVER $5 when I see them, Nice find.
They're probably in better shape when you see them. LOL.
People can ask whatever they want, but that doesn't make it its value.
