This is an unknown brand to me, and I am not sure if Kodama was a producer or a wholesaler.

The vases are quite different, although both nicely made and very Japanese in style.

I think the twisted rainbow vase looks a bit Iwatsu in style. The blue and burgundy one with it's dramatically hot worked clear casing seems very Sanyu.

There is always more to learn!

Met a couple from Perth here on Thursday they were motorcycling across the world. The Australian spirit was well on display.

Hey Karen, I have a small Kodama Glass vase, too, though not as striking as these. Have you discovered any more information about them?
    20. kwqd kwqd, 4 years ago
It is a generic red and white swirl vase in a Japanese style.... Nothing fancy. I wasn't sure it was Japanese..

I have confirmed that Kodama are definitely a distributor name, not a maker.
There is so many of them and according to one of my Japanese contacts maker's names are not as important as the sellers name. It does my head in at times!

It is a shame that the Japanese place so little value in the history of their art glass industry.
