This Art Deco Tango glass perfume bottle has been in my collection for a long time - since 1995, when I was simply buying on gut instinct, & had a lot to learn about glass. The colour scheme appealed immediately - there's something so elegant about the combination of black & pink - I think that the black "grounds" the prettiness of pink.
It is made from cased glass - clear over a pink streaked decor, with the stopper in opaque black cut glass. It measures 15.5 cm tall, & 5 cm across the base. This was likely part of a dressing table set - I have seen the same shaped perfume bottle in an opaque pea green as part of a matching set.
Bohemian - any thoughts on the exact maker would be much appreciated.
like a wee skyscraper as you say pink & black work so well together !!!!
thanks for sharing IronLace
Many thanks, MALKEY - love your description, so apt for a Deco piece!
Gorgeous glass. As you say, the pink and black work so well together, and the shape is perfect.
I love all Tango glass, I've found that the black just sets off every color it's together with! Gorgeous!
Thanks so much racer4four & shareurpassion - I agree, Tango glass is pure, Art Deco style, so glamourous!
