This was a new shape for me but, as you see in image three, once again Craig was able to provide an image of the same shape in a Welz décor.
This was also new in that the glass is not translucent but opaque. The polished rim discloses a thin pink inner layer, a thicker middle layer (possibly clear) and another thin pink outer layer. At the stem the outer layer is visibly clear, so it is baffling. At the foot the pink is at its palest...... though not enough for it to be an example of 'pink fading to clear' glass.
Also this is shorter than any other examples I have in this type of footed vase, but nevertheless already a favourite.

I love watching your collection grow, and I love the things you find.... You have a great eye, and seem to have an in depth understanding of the Welz aesthetic...
When I started my research into Welz production, I honestly had no idea that it would evolve into the "thing" that it has. I thought I might find a few things, and move on to my next curiosity. Almost 10 years later, I am still looking..... Seeing people such as yourself that are passionate about collecting their glass is the most rewarding part of it for me..... I love the research, and to see it used by people is most rewarding.
