tall glass oil lamp been family for 3 generations found hide away after my wifes mother died they must of felt it was very valueable wife mom got it from her mom as a wedding present in early 40's and i belive her mom got it from her mom as a wedding present thats all i know about it
The lamp is a plain utilitarian table lamp that has an insert collar that dates it after 1911. In other words, a little non-fancy workhorse that provided lighting to many family get-togethers, homework at the kitchen table and a central source of comfort during the drab depression days. It has no special name but "friend" would be an appropriate name. Bob
