L.E. Smith floor vase. Made in circa 1978. 22 3/4" Tall, 7" Wide, 4 1/2" Base. I've heard this style referred to as Diamond Cut, #5160 from the Simplicity Line.

At first I thought it might be a Viking, looking at the top. Very pretty and I love the great way you have shown off how tall it is. Everyone knows the size of a coke can, right?! Nice job.
Through some connections, I have learned the vase is from L.E. Smith's, Simplicity Line, #5160. Circa 1978. I'm still waiting for the correct color name.
Love it! So big too.
Thanks Shareurpassion, I have to agree with you about the Viking confusion. Usually my first thought too. Thanks for the Coke cans compliment.
For the "Love it" clicks, I thank Shareurpassion, TimeTraveller, Blunderbuss2, Fortapache, Vetraio50 and TassieDevil. Very much appreciated.
Most welcome! That green is so very pretty! Just like an emerald.
Thanks Shareurpassion. A friend of mine with L.E. Smith resources, has informed me that the official color designation is "Green". I told her I thought it might be called "Bright Green" or "Emerald Green", she said that LE Smith called this color "Green", nothing fancy, just green. Thanks for the interest.
I have this same exact piece and I absolutely luv it!The only thing is its on loan as a safe keeping bc my Papa was moving. But we knew it was old just didn't know how old and what exactly it was.I too was told it was a viking piece, good to know its background!! Thanks,Dino!! Wonder how many was made back then and is still left.!!!!
Your Welcome Mysterious. I doubt there very many left, with it being a floor vase, I'll bet many were broken by children and their balls and toys. Glad you found out it's a L.E. Smith. I love the color of green, what a great shade.
Wow! I want to touch it :D
