Found a couple quite cheap over a few months.
Finally got around to restoring the wood myself but got them reupholstered
We just love them.
Very comfortable and Australian made.

Aren't they wonderful. I think these mid century Australian designs are excellent, and so well made.
I have a Tessa T21 lounge suite here that has seen better days after years of family use, and I have been researching getting it restored. It was quite expensive, so I thought I would look for something new instead, which would cost less. Nup. The new stuff is so big and ungainly, poorly made, and worst of all, not ergonomic so get uncomfortable quickly.
I bet these chairs, petite and solid and stylish, fit your body perfectly.
BTW - the footstool is gorgeous.
Have a look at my Twen chair. Twen was Fred Lowen after Fler but before Tessa.
I'm getting that chair restored at the moment. It's going to be awesome.
We have two Tessa suites and they just endure.
Upholstery isn't cheap, but it guarantees longevity.
Yeah, your Twen chair looks an early design of the T21. Fabulously comfortable and gorgeous looking.
I love these chairs too. You did a really great job on the wood and they did the same with the fabric. It looks absolutely original, I love the way the only difference in the fabric is the color! It's so true about the new vs the old. The old will always last and it's very worth having it redone or do yourself as a project. Really, it's not hard unless you have a pattern on the fabric that has to match up but I wouldn't want to do the wood part myself. Gorgeous!
Thanks.
The Twen chair is getting the wood veneers repaired and restored.
The arms will be done in a satin tone oil finish, as per the original finish.
The fabric is going to be a zepel fabric , Troy, in colour called chlorophyll.
A lovel green with woven undertones of teal.
Pictures upon completion.
Yes please.
