This barber's bottle shaped vase has a thin clear casing over a variegated green with burgundy (ox-blood) spattered body. It stands 8" (20.3 cm) tall, is 4 1/2" (11.3 cm) wide at the hips, and sits on a 2 1/2" (6.2 cm) diameter pad foot. The underside has what looks to me like a fire-polished pontil mark but no export mark.

I think this is really lovely, both the shape and the way the variegated background adds subtlety to the décor.

Great example.... I think that the underside is simply a poorly formed base from within the mold. This form with a ground rim is generally sans pontil mark or pontil work.
