After many Bakelite necklaces this actually is my first Amber..
I am delighted with the beautiful color. Then I looked to identify genuine Amber.
First i did the salt water test and then the test with acetone. Both tests are positive so I think this is true Amber, considering the weight of the chain, 62 grams. The color is fantastic, an antique beautifully decorated silver lock and a total length of 29 ".

What a fabulous necklace!! It certainly looks like amber from the evidence in the last photo. It would be called pressed amber.
