This pretty unit belonged to my nan and we were using it up until 2 years ago when we moved house and there simply wasn't room for it in the house - hence it ended up in the garage under cover. I've no idea of what age it is, what wood it's made out of, pretty annoyed to find quite a bit of the beading around the edges that appears to have been knocked off in the move.
There's one big shelf in the bottom cabinet and 3 shelfs in the top and a lock and key to both top and bottom. The top and bottom parts are detached and the top part sits in a little recess.
Any information about our cabinet, what period, what it might be made out of would be lovely, thank you.
Some of the wood grain looks like Mahogany. But it all doesn't. I hope an expert answers u as I'm curious myself. You do know it has veneer on it right? Which isn't bad at all I'm just saying as when I started out I didn't know the difference at all.?
