I found this lovely pottery vase with a beautiful green/brown/blue thick glaze at a resale shop a few days ago for $5. I couldn't pass it up!
Anyway, the sticker says Handicraft Guild Minneapolis. I can see that Handicraft Guild is also incised in the clay on the bottom. I had never heard of the Handicraft Guild of Minneapolis before finding this vase. I could not find much about it on the internet, but, apparently, it was an organization central to the Arts and Crafts movement and was in operation from 1904 to 1918. It was founded and run by women and provided classes like pottery and metalwork to artists and teachers. Grant Wood was among those influenced by the Guild. Here's an article that gives a short but good background on the Guild:

My vase is 4 inches across at the opening, approximately 6 inches high and 6 inches at its widest point.
Enjoy! And, if you have any more information about the Guild and the pottery produced there, please share. Thanks.
