I purchased a group of items from a person that included this vintage milk bottle. It's always more interesting when you can find a story to go with a product, and it makes it easier to sell. Here is the story I found on the internet.
The Adohr Farms milk dairy was located in Tarzana, California at Ventura Boulevard and Lindley Avenue. The dairy was established by Merritt Adamson 1916, and named for his wife, Rhoda (spelled backwards). During the Depression, the Adamson’s sold off most of their land. In the late 1940s, Adohr Farms moved to Camarillo, and was eventually sold to Southland Corporation in the mid-1960s.
To make it all better I sold the bottle to a lady from Southern California who remembered Adohr milk being delivered to their home and knew the story. Was really heart warming to be part of the journey this bottle traveled.
Sorry the pictures aren't better, I probably should have filled it with milk so the photo didn't shoot through the bottle, plus it would have provided a better back ground for the red print.
