What can you tell me about this beautiful pitcher which I inherited from my Grandmother? This pitcher is 7 inches in height by 4.25 at the base and 5.50 at the widest point on top. I received this item in 1966 from my Grandmother. Appreciate any information you can share. Mary

Hi Mary, this is really beautiful.
That backstamp is for Royal Worcester and this pitcher is their leaf design.
I'm no expert but the design appears to have started around the 1880s and it came in three sizes. It was commonly sold in a plain white or cream glaze, but they upgraded some by adding hand painted graphics (like your dog roses - I think that's what they are) and gilding (like your handle).
I hope that gives you a start for your search!

The “O” under the mark dates it to 1889. Here is a link to the Worcester marks, but if you go to the antique- marks home page , you will find great info on a lot of British porcelain makers

PS there is also a list of the artists somewhere on that same website. The monograms of the potter and artist appear to be on your piece, so if you can attribute to a famous one the value increases dramatically
