Found for a dollar during today's thrift-store run. This 7-1/2" x 10-1/4" oval plate is heavy restaurant-grade china, and due to its (well worn) red edgebanding decoration I'm guessing it has probably already held many, many meals consumed by customers of somebody's typical 'Asian' all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant. Maker's logo on its underside reads CATHAY CHINA.
Actually seems to me like I've probably eaten more than a few such meals off of similar (if not identical?) plates myself, over the years...? <lol>
