My grandmother left this doll to me. She had a very large doll collection. I was told that this doll was bought when "Gone with the Wind" came out in films.
There is a headpiece has white flowers and a green bow that I have but have not put it on the doll.
Her clothes include pantiloons, a hoop slip with hoop and a green satin dress with white trim around the collar.
She stands 21 inches tall. Her dress has a label on the back neck opening that says, "Scarlett O'Hara, All Rights Reserved, Madame Alexander, N.Y.
Scarlett's eyes open and close. Her neck, arms and legs move and bend.
I would love to know the best way to store her. Would there be a case I could purchase or a glass dome?
I have not seen any dolls that look like her online but my information is limited.

She is composition and they don't like dampness or extreme temperature changes or they begin to craze and paint lifts . You failed to show her whole dress which would have been more important to see. These dolls came in different sizes and she was released in 1937 with Movie :-) Madame Alex put her in many different variations of dress's as Scarlett yours is just one look . Your dolls eyes have crystallized but can be cleared up a bit . Very nice doll and It was so nice to receive her from your Grandmother . Keep her out of direct sunlight and yes they do sell glass covers but you don't want to tight a fit so doll gets some airflow . I prefer putting them in a larger case . If storing not to display always store face down . The eyes tend to fall back into head if laying on back over a long period .

Where might I find photos of similar dolls her age?
I sent you one like her on link . That has a crack from poor storage . Did you look at it ? Yors looks to be in from the face which is not a real close up in very good condition . I am not sure what your question is ? You mean any doll from 1930's -40s ?

Here is the outfit and doll I saw on your link. I had thought my Scarlett was 21 inches but her outfit is identical to this one.

Would you know of any resource info that I could figure out how to make the hoop stand out. It has bends in it that prevent this. Also, I'd like to get her outfit cleaned but fear it might ruin the fabric.

Washing taffeta is pretty risky . I don't know if it has synthetic fibers or silk in it , If it has a silk mix a dry cleaner if synthetic then gently in cool water with light soap like woolite . Dip it around a bit rinse and lay on a flat towel and roll towel to get water out and lay flat to dry . Ironing is very delicate job too it scorches easy so low heat with a cloth over material . Is the bone in hoop plastic or wire ? I guess if your willing to risk that is how I would do it :-) Keep her dress out of sun and don't wring fabric when washing it could break down fibers if fragile .
