Hi all
Well here is something I purchased a few days ago for virtually nothing. If I'm honest I find it more interesting than attractive, and as I am trying to learn about how to identify glass makers I thought it was a good exercise. I would like to know how the decoration is added as that confuses me, i.e is it just liquid added to the molten glass that blends in.
Also, I cannot find this sticker anywhere so hoped someone might recognise it. The vase itself is a little wobbly and the top is off kilter, so I'm guessing not a good maker as I assume if it was it would be level and sit perfectly? Also the base is very rough, again I would have thought a good maker would polish it?

Mark is Vecchia Murano.

Other sites say it's an angel on the top.
All the Vecchia vases I can find are very different to yours, but label is the same? Do you think you've got the right label, but the wrong vase?
Well I guess it's possible that someone has put that label on to decide but it looks to be original and not just an add-on.
Interesting Information though, thank you.
As it's not perfect, could it have been a trial/test piece for the decoration to see how it came out? I had a quick look and did find 2 others with that exact decor but I didn't have time to look further. I'll try later.
The winged creature on the mark is the emblematic Venice winged lion! :-D
Well it does look exactly like a winged lion, so fair enough!
