13" Lion Head Vase

So, I picked this up when I was going through an old barn. I bought a whole box of old pottery because I thought they looked really neat, this is the only piece in the huge box I can't Identify. Not really my style but the fact that I can't identify it is driving me crazy! the only mark is an "11A" on the bottom. it looks to be hand made.. It has a rough texture like stucco on the outside and the inside has yellow and green speckles. The rest of the pieces dated from 1880's-1920's. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know or even what it's made out of... thanks!
