Hi everyone! I've been wanting one of these hall trees for awhile now. I got lucky the other day and someone was throwing this out. So I took it. Its in a bit of rough shape. And its missing the shelf and umbrella holder. But i think it's grand specially for free! Not sure what I'll do with it yet. I was thinking of leaving it the way it is. Any thoughts? Thanks so much for looking!

If it were mine the only thing I would do is give it a coat of boiled linseed oil to keep the wood from splitting and cracking. NEVER RAW Linseed oil always boiled. Raw doesn't dry and is always gummy. It will help keep the wood better. The boiled is clear to slightly yellowish so the surface will darken just a little but it is good for the wood.
Thank you for your comment. Its a veneer over wood. Some of which is peeling.. i have some pieces that fell off I saved. Looks like it was left out side for awhile. I'll look into trying that. I have many wood items.

No have had the dresser. But it was given to me. Its heading up the stairs, to my daughters room. That's why the drawers are out. It has a mirror as well. Thanks for commenting.
