Cane back chair (before and after)

Found this on a buy/sell Facebook site. The chair is stamped "1972" on the underside. I loved the chair but not the peacock fabric or straw padding. Hence the makeover. I used a process called weathering which called for chalk paint and stain. The pic looks black and white but it's the actual color. The paint is dark grey and the fabric is grey and white. This turned out to be a long process but I was happy with the results. Since there was left over fabric, I decided to recover a small ottoman to match. :-)
