    I have these on each end of my fireplace(non working) mantel. I love the candles! I think these are original shades??? The base is brass I believe and the monkeys are Bronze? This is what I was told but sounds a little suspect to me.

      I think it may be newer and the monkey is likely resin. Very nice how3ever.

      Actually after your comment I did the scratch test and the monkeys(at least) are spelter.
